The Bead Twins

23 Jul

Lauren and Kristen are the Bead Twins. They both share a love for making jewelry with Swarovski crystals, various glass beads, and metal.  Together they create a wide variety of necklaces, earrings and bracelets available at art festivals (like Festival Fete), online at Etsy, and through private custom orders and home parties.

I enjoyed talking with them at the Garden City Art Festival this past June, and they will be participating in both of Festival Fete’s upcoming fall shows; The East Greenwich Art Festival (8/31-9/1) and The Wakefield Art Festival (10/5).

We have always been close, as twins, and have similar taste and creative aspirations. It is our goal to incorporate natural and recycled materials into each piece we create, whether it be re-purposing a watch face or utilizing vintage beads and findings. While each piece may not be comprised of totally recycled materials we believe in re-purposing materials not only to improve our environment, but also to evoke new meaning to mundane materials.

We just started to introduce metal work jewelry into our line and are very excited about the response we receive with the introduction of our new product. Looking forward to showcasing our latest designs at the East Greenwich Art Festival Labor Day Weekend!
