Julie Brayton

3 Aug

Julie Brayton has been drawing and painting since she was a child. Growing up in RI she starting out as young as 10 drawing animals which was her favorite subject at the time. After a while, she needed help to improve the skill of seeing properly.

She also felt the need to develop her creativity, so she found artist Ernest Principato, who introduced her to the methods taught at the Cape Cod School of Art. Through “Prince” as he’s affectionately known, she learned to see the color of light. This included painting the atmospheric affects that different times of day and times of year would present as well as different weather conditions.

Finally after many trials and tribulations of life and raising four beautiful daughters, Julie had the opportunity to put all of her attention into learning and improving painting. She has sold many pieces of work over the years. And she has been commissioned to do murals, faux finishes and portraits. Julie also has done book illustrations, logo designs and other graphic art related work. She looks forward to traveling and painting and sharing her work with others.
