Stella Marie Soap Company: Putting Your Average Bar of Soap to Shame

14 Apr

Kim Gonzaga is a professional soapmaker and owner of Stella Marie Soap Company. She has been making soap for over ten years and is a proud member of the Handcrafted Soapmakers Guild. Founded in 2007, Stella Marie Soap Company was born out of a desire to merge artistic expression with a passion for the bath.

Drawing on inspiration from punk rock, pop culture, baseball and feminism, Kim created a line of fun but highly beneficial bath and body products made with natural ingredients. She named the company after her two grandmothers, who have had a profound influence on her.

The company mission is to produce fresh, skin-nourishing products of the highest possible quality in an environmentally responsible manner while offering an exciting alternative to the mainstream. Stella Marie Soap Company was the recipient of a 2010 Best of Rhode Island award from Rhode Island Monthly Magazine as well as a 2010 Best of Providence award from the Providence Phoenix. Stella Marie Soap Company was featured on The Rhode Show (WPRI Fox Providence) in March of 2010.
