This month’s ART Night Gallery & Open Studios features 18 open galleries in Bristol and Warren, RI including a trunk show of BendyWho! by Wendy Baker at the Stella Marie Soap Company in Warren. You can learn more about Wendy Baker’s and preview her jewelry in our last blog post.

Another one of our Festival Fete artists, Melonie Massa, Mermaids Baubles creates beautifully crafted treasures from the sea and you will find an ample supply at either The Sea Star, 39 State St., Bristol or Whimsies, 4 Church St.

There will be four open studio tours of accomplished artists: Lisa Abbatomarco – an interdisciplinary artist whose works include puppetry, mask-making, and sculpture, Valerie Bretl – an international mosaic artist who creates contemporary mosaic art, John Boland – a ceramic artist who creates handmade ceramics for contemporary interiors, and Howard Windham – a mixed media artist who works in gouache, collage and other media.

A free trolley service runs between open studios, galleries and business partners in each town. Click here to see the handbill with a description of each location and a map. ART Night is always a fun night out in the East Bay!

At various locations in Massachusetts – 60 museums & cultural venues in MA-open for free on Fridays all summer long! Six venues will be open for free each week. For most venues, there is no ticket, ID, coupon, or password required. Please visit the web site of each organization for more information. Sat. 6/29 – Roger Williams Park Zoo is a sponsor of Festival Fete and they offer Family nights on Saturdays in July, when Zoo admission stays open til 7:30 and the Zoo doesn’t close until 8 pm. It’s a very special time to be at the Zoo.
