Look at Me Designs

While traveling home from a whirlwind family vacation,  I took some time to browse through images of some of the amazing artists that will be at Festival Fete’s Garden City Art Festival, and I came across this clever duo that own Look At Me Designs which is a recycled clothing design company. I am excited to share with you what this successful company is all about!

Look At Me Designs was started in 2003 by Tiffany Brown and Melanie Cohen Peddle. They both had a creative flair and a love of fashion. With five daughters between their two families, they both felt strongly about using recycled materials in their designs and creating eco-friendly products.  I love how this quote perfectly shares their sentiment for being trendy and earth friendly!

Our goal is to create today’s conversation pieces using yesterday’s materials.

Tiffany Brown, was an art major with a background in graphic design, and Melonie was a business major with a career in fashion merchandising. Putting their creative talents together resulted in a varied line of handmade or embellished with recycled materials products including purses, boot accessories and clothing made from recycled sweaters and recycled T-shirts.

Our trendiest items this year are our boot accessories. Along with our popular boot cuffs, we also added a boot cozy and a boot topper, available for purchase on our Up Cycle Your Look page. We completely change our designs every season so there is always a new reason to shop our website and the over 400 eco-conscious retailers that carry the Look At Me Designs brand.

Look at Me Designs newest products for Spring are skirts and tank dresses made from recycled t-shirts and they will be available for sale to the public for the first time at Festival Fete’s 2013 Garden City Art Festival on June 8th and 9th. Come check them out early before the best ones are snatched up!
